Advisory Board Member @ Braidafrica.org  (October 2017 - Current)

Braid Africa is a non-profit organization that BRAID Africa empowers war trauma survivors in remote locations to recover and rebuild their lives by providing holistic treatments, entrepreneurship education and seed funding. In the past years ​ 500 war trauma survivors and refugees in Liberia received medical and psychological treatment.

Global Engagement Intern, M&C team @ Kiva.org  (January - July 2017)

 

Kiva is a non-profit organization that allows people to lend money via the Internet to low-income entrepreneurs, women, students, farmers in over 84 countries. In the past 10 years, through Kiva $1.00B  were lent to 2.5M borrowers with the support of 1.6M lenders.

  • Led partnership building among new women, social enterprises, nonprofits and other niche groups and organizations.

  • Managed a pipeline of 35 organizations/influencers for the 1 Billion campaign and Refugee Day campaign.

  • Managed a pipeline of 200 organizations/influencers during the week of International Women’s Day campaign (10% increase YoY). Through this campaign, we doubled our goal of $3M, bringing in $6M toward women's initiatives over the course of one week for our highest day of lending ever. Social media content brought in 25% of all trackable conversions.

  • Supported community engagement and lender acquisition by finding speaking and engagement opportunities for Kiva (local and global events). Created a project to engage small business owners from Latin America, based in Bay Area, as borrowers into to Kiva’s platform.

Direct to Social Enterprise Focal Point @ Kiva (January 2017 - Present)

 

Social enterprises have the potential to strengthen their communities and reduce poverty but especially in developing countries, they lack the capital to grow. The DSE program is working on this gap. 

  • Works as a focal point for Kiva's Direct to Social Enterprise Program (DSE) in Brazil and referral social businesses aligned to Kiva DSE Program criteria. 

 

Program Manager and advisor for nonprofits (2007-2016)

  •  Responsible for programs that offered training, planning, management support and project evaluation for 108 non-profits in the culture, sports, environment, entrepreneurship and education sectors from several regions of Brazil. 

  • Advising for social investments for $1M+ annual budget.

  • 108 social leaders formed in project management and fundraising. Their work direct impacted 2,000 people (20,000 indirectly).
